Binomial Cube

Products arriving soon.

Description: Eight painted wooden cubes in a wooden box with a lid. The box is hinged and opens out to display the cubes. The lid is printed with the binomial square pattern.

The cubes represent in a concrete way the binomial equation (a + b). They develop the child’s perception of differences in proportion in three dimensions and encourage the perception of a mathematical pattern. It also indirectly prepares the child for algebra.

Note:  In the nursery the presentation of the cube is purely sensorial and the child treats it as a puzzle. The progression to the algebraic formula comes at a much later stage.
